Season 7 will start and end at 7:00 a.m. and will begin airing in the United States in January 2009, having been delayed by the writers’ strike. “Day 7″ opens four years after season 6 with Jack Bauer on trial. Bauer’s day takes an unexpected turn when former colleague Tony Almeida returns despite his apparent death in season 5. Meanwhile, newly elected President Allison Taylor leads the country supported by Ethan Kanin and Henry Taylor.
This will be the first season when Jack isn’t working with CTU after the events of season 6. Until January, the producers of the show have announced that there will be a 2 hour season 7 prologue, 24: Redemption on November 23, 2008. It will be like a bridge between seasons.
Most shows usually start to decline creatively when they’ve been on the air for so long. Let’s hope this is not the case with 24…
