We’re less than three weeks away from the second season premiere of “90210″… a season which looks “darker” than the rookie one. No more nonsense! Things are about to become increasingly serious for the youngsters. Allegedly, they will explore Los Angeles’ social scene. More than this… it seems that the series is hounded by a lot of major changes. While a golden boy was bumped off the show, a few supporting characters were upgraded to main cast and the surprises don’t end here… there are also new recruits. Among them rank Sasha, an African-American woman who will chase Dixon, and Teddy, a tennis champion who can make any girl feel like she’s the most beautiful person in the room. He will throw his eye first on Silver and later on Adrianna.
Beginning with the second episode of the series’ upcoming season, John Schneider, known for his roles on “The Dukes of Hazzard”, “Smallville” and “The Secret Life of the American Teenager”, joins the cast as Liam’ step dad, a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon. As we all know, when it comes to his step father, Liam isn’t exactly chummy and it looks like things worsen even more with his return from “the boot camp”.
However, “90210″ still has room for “the old”… Jennie Garth gets back as guidance counselor Kelly Taylor. Without further ceremony, the producers have something special in store for principal Harry and Kelly Taylor… something which savors romance. Still, this approach won’t happen out of the clear sky but drop by drop until the end of the season, in May 2010. Considering that both are known as two very nice people and that Harry’s wife will be caught in the middle, someone won’t get off scot-free.
This season of “90210″ will be very harsh on Annie who will little by little become a naughty child and will feel isolated from the group. Besides the fact that an entire school hates her believing that she was the one who rounded on them about the party, it seems that even her brother Dixon will keep out of her way. However, she won’t be alone. Zachary Ray Sherman will play Jasper, the nephew of the guy whom Annie hit in the first season finale. Meanwhile, Silver will reconnect with old friends Naomi and Adrianna. Naomi won’t see too soon that her sister manipulates her, Jen getting on with her schemes. As for Adrianna and Navid, they will still be together.
“90210″ returns on September 8… better, bigger and bolder than ever.
