Brothers & Sisters Season 3 Episode 2

Knitting charm with emotions and wit, “Book Burning” is an extremely well written and well acted chapter of “Brothers & Sisters” whose entire action revolves around Kitty and Robert. A social worker submits the beautiful couple to an evaluation in order to decide whether or not they are a fit family. Wanting to make a good impression, Kitty asks Nora’s help and reunites the family for a “typical” Walker dinner.
In the meantime, there’s rumour in the wind that someone wrote a book about Robert’s presidential campaign, only he doesn’t know that the mysterious author is neither more nor less than his wife. Unfortunately, the truth comes to light in the most inappropriate moment. As if that weren’t enough, a hurried Kitty forgets the bag with her “work” at Nora’s home. We all know that any sizeable thing left anyhow in the Walker house doesn’t get off without a very close examination. And so, all family members find out that the main characters of the book are they themselves. In a flash, through a phone conference, we learn how Kitty portrayed each of them.
Her mother appears like a liberal who was arrested for possession of marijuana and spends most of her time in the kitchen, there is no reasoning with Kevin, Justin is immature and impulsive, Sarah is always grumbling and Tommy is a retro guy who can’t fit in with the 21st century demands. All show up at dinner, including the social worker, but things take an unexpected turn which could possibly destroy Kitty and Robert’s chances of having kids. Meanwhile, Holly entrusts Rebecca with full access to her two million dollar account, but her daughter questions her motives and takes a surprising decision. To the end, we catch Holly on the hop trying to get hold of the contact details of a “good friend”… Ryan Lafferty.
