The main drama that knits the Walker family this season is Kitty’s cancer. Last Sunday, in “Breaking the News”, Robert’s wife surrendered herself to a roller coaster of emotions. When she asked her mother to go with her to the doctor, Kitty was seized with fear. Later, the diagnosis of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma made her detach from everything was happening around her. When she gave Robert the news, Kitty was devastated and the next morning she resigned to her fate. Tonight, in “Almost Normal”, a surprise visitor from afar will come back home and lighten the pain of the family.
Nora gathers the entire family to break the news about Kitty and her illness. While they all try to comfort her and decide which treatment could possibly be best for her, someone returns home making the burden a bit easier to bear. The oncologist dwells more on Kitty’s condition, which might mean she will need chemotherapy. As for the surprise visitor, it could either be Sarah from France or Tommy from Mexico. Remains to be seen…
