In view of Joss Whedon’s influence, the penury of satire or wit is somewhat surprising. But out of the blue, “Belle Chose” had some wry sense of humor. Following a car accident, the nephew of a Dollhouse shareholder fell into a coma… An unstable, psychotic, homicidal man, Terry abducted women and forced them to dress out and perform different roles in his fantastic world… When they didn’t come up his expectations, he killed them. Before getting hit by a car, Terry just kidnapped three women. At his uncle’s request, Victor was imprinted with the killer’s memories, so Ballard could interrogate him. Unfortunately, he escaped and wandered about the streets with the mind of a killer.
In the meantime, Echo impersonated a college student for a lustful professor. Topher decided to do a remote wipe, but things took an unexpected turn and Victor and Echo’s memories switched which was both fun and horrifying, so to say. For now, the rewriting effect was limited to a glitch, but the result foreshadows a progression of a technology that could lead to the end of civilization.
Next week… in an episode dedicated to Sierra, will come to light more details about her connection to Rossum and the twisted path of deception, obsession and even murder that led her to the Dollhouse, but let me not tell you more… For further spicy details I friendly advise you to make sure you don’t miss the episode… no regrets whatsoever, I can guarantee.
