Although the show isn’t like it used to be, last week’s return wasn’t disappointing at all. Like an unexpected twist, after learning at a deposition that more of his patients died than survived, Derek decided to quit. From the always caring and optimistic surgeon remained only a shadow. “I Will Follow You into the Dark” also revealed that Izzie has terminal cancer with only a small percentage chances of survival. It’s kind of interesting that she took Cristina into the secret.

Tonight, “Grey’s Anatomy” will offer us an intense dose of medical drama. After Derek’s friends not get to first base to convince him resume his duties, Meredith must summon up courage and persuade him to return. Meanwhile the hospital is like a beehive as Mark attempts a rare face transplant surgery. Although Cristina at last awarded her first solo surgery, her attention is more focused on her friends’ needs and the fact that Izzie is decided to keep secret her medical condition leaves her almost speechless.
