12ltm in Lie To Me Season 1 Episode 2 Moral Waiver

This show doesn’t focus just on blatant lies… it also relieves the repercussions that all these lies could have. Among the technical scientific “weapons” used to detect the emotional tension ranks the polygraph, known also as “the lie detector”. Probably because it’s also the most polemic, “Lie To Me” dedicates to it an episode. The instrument measures and graphically records a few physiological responses such as blood pressure, pulse, respiration, body temperature and skin conductivity while a subject is interrogated.

“Moral Waiver” points out that is better to rely on face and gestures to find clues and expose the truth.
In this episode appear quite many female soldiers. We have to admit that nowadays, war is no longer limited to physical strength but to strategy and especially to instincts. Cal and Ria investigate the case of a female soldier who claims to be the victim of a sexual assault. During the investigation, they approach a delicate issue by trying to widen the scope of facts that define a rape. A sexual assault is achieved through the physical and sexual coercion against the expressed will of the victim…
But an assault carried out by moral constraint without the victim’s lack of will expressed can also pass for rape. Meanwhile, Eli and Gillian deal with the case of a college basketball player who is accused of accepting a bribe from his university. Apart from the fact that some gestures seem exaggerated, the cases are quite interesting. Give it a chance and watch it!
