After the first five episodes spoilt us revealing so many clues and some of Lost’s mysteries, “316″ threw dust in our eyes again, raising question after question. Following Ms. Hawking’s indications, The Oceanic 6 managed to replicate in some measure, the circumstances of their first crash and took the flight indicated by the Foucault pendulum. Still… How did Hurley and Sayid learn about the Ajira Airways flight 316? Who beat up Ben and why? Did he kill Penny? And we could interminably continue in this way… but let’s focus our attention on the numberless Easter Eggs!
- “316″ opened on Jack’s eye when he awoke in the middle of the jungle.
This is a remake of the opening scene of the “Pilot” episode.
- Although she never mentioned his name, Ms. Hawking made many references to Enzo Valenzetti, the man who came up with the equations designed to locate the island at a specific point in time.
- The title of the episode refers to the flight number and the classic Bible verse John 3:16.
- Like on the original flight, Hurley read a comic book (in Spanish) on the new flight.
- On Flight 815, Charlie had a guitar on board. This time, Hurley brought one. Did Charlie come to Hurley as a ghost and guide him in the direction of the flight?
- John Locke’s “suicide note” is related to the Bible verse John 3:16… “whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life”.
Tonight’s episode of “Lost”, “The Life and Death of Jeremy Bentham”, focuses on Locke. It seems that he lands in Tunisia where Ben did. Locke meets both Charles Widmore, for the second time and Matthew Abaddon who reveals what he does for Charles Widmore.
