Monk81 in Monk Season 8 Episode 1 Mr. Monks Favorite Show

The brilliant but neurotic detective finally comes back on the small screen. Unfortunately, this is the show’s eighth and final season. Still, we shouldn’t be singing sorrow but follow Mr. Monk as he takes his victory lap… In this first episode, accompanied by Natalie, Adrian waits patiently in front of a library to meet his childhood TV star, Christine Rapp, who just published a revealing book.
As nothing has ever turned out well for Monk, our favorite detective doesn’t receive the so desired autograph because someone makes an attempt on the writer’s life. Like a tiny tot, Adrian darts at the place of the incident. After Natalie and Randy thumb through the book and discover a few shocking details, Monk is hired as Christine Rapp’s bodyguard.

While Adrian admires one of the writer’s trophies, suspiciously easy, the stalker manages to creep in Christine’s house and leave a message, without being heard or seen. However, Randy notes that the message on the mirror was written with the left hand while the attacker is right-hander. Adrian decides to read the book and is shocked… his favorite actress was neither more nor less than a B girl. Meanwhile, Christine shoots the supposed perpetrator, a lonely man who didn’t do anything wrong in his entire life. Monk realizes who actually wrote that message, but when he ties everything together, things take an unexpected turn. Although, when it comes to mystery, “Mr. Monk’s Favorite Show” doesn’t transcend other episodes, one thing we know for sure… the series kept its humorousness.
