Smallville Season 9 Episode 13 “Persuasion” Preview
Last week, in “Warrior”, the writers slipped in a bit of that magical attraction of a fantasy story that inspires and holds the viewers spellbound. Aficionados and geeks got together at the Metropolis comic book convention. At the same time, Zatanna returned to town with a mission. Young Alec Abrams managed to steal a rare comic book featuring the secret origin of Warrior Angel… Miraculously, he transformed into an adult with special powers and ended up saving Chloe from a life-threatening accident.
Eventually, it turned out that Zatanna’s father cursed the comic book that turned Alec into Warrior Angel. However, the real shock came when Clark and Zatanna realized that the story wasn’t about a teenager who becomes a hero, but about a young boy who becomes a villain… Alec, who called himself “Steven Swift”, transformed into Devilicus. Unfortunately, the writers crushed him in the egg without doing us the pleasure of seeing a real fight.
This week, Clark is exposed to gemstone kryptonite and unknowingly gains the ability to force people fulfill his wishes. When he makes reference to his desire to have a more traditional relationship, Lois quits her job, moves in with Clark and starts planning their wedding. Also unwittingly of his new power, he tells Chloe he wishes she would spend more time watching out for him. Without further ado, she vows to keep a close watch on Clark and protect him from… Lois. “Persuasion” airs on February 19. Don’t miss it!
