Inspired from the famous classic movie “It’s a Wonderful Life”, last week’s episode of “Supernatural” was an unusual waggish breather from the previous doses of adrenalin and darkness. “It’s a Terrible Life” described an alternate universe where the boys lived normal and separate lives, without knowing they are brothers. The roles were reversed and this time, Dean was the brain while Sam the brawny guy.
Nothing from their new lifestyle reminded of the experienced demon hunters we all know. It was strange to see Dean wearing suit and tie, driving a Prius, hating classic rock or eating healthy and his brother working in a cubicle. The episode also involved a ghost and finally, all proved to be a test. Castiel’ superior wanted to show Dean that being a demon hunter is in his blood and he can fulfill his destiny. After all, the purpose justifies the means… Tonight, in “The Monster at the End of this Book”, Dean and Sam come across a series of comic books which describe their lives as demon hunters… to the smallest detail. Soon, the brothers manage to find the author, Carver Edlund, who holds forth he has visions with them in action and transforms their adventures into comics. You definitely wouldn’t like to miss this episode…
